tucanacut's (Poorly Written) Guide to Shitting Up the Musics Player

Due to updates to the policy file, most of this guide no longer applies. I will no longer be updating it.

First off, this is a guide to help your tracks actually make it into the player and not be immediately rejected due to how horrible it probably is. If you thought it was something else, you probably weren't reading the page very carefully. Or at all. It's sort of difficult to mistake this guide for anything else. Perhaps you are illiterate? I don't know...

We'll start with the biggest tip: submit an instrumental track. It's much more difficult to violate the rules for an instrumental track, meaning there's less of a chance things can go wrong. Another great tip would be to avoid genres like metal or emo, or anything else that would give someone a headache. Supplying an mp3 with your submission will prevent you from having to go through the pending process, the process where Craze actually has to listen to your submission in order for it to go into Trial mode, which can cause you some problems.

Do NOT keep submitting the same artists! Try to submit songs from artists that aren't currently in the player. We already have way more than enough AC/DC or Nine Inch Nails for example. A good artist that doesn't have a song listed in the player could stand a better chance than AC/DC.

A potential way to get your song in is if you submit it for the purpose of 'trolling' and Craze sees it as a good song for it. 'Trolling' is used loosely in this case, in all honesty it can range from a song submitted to purposefully piss people off to just a bad song.

Your track should be heard. What do I mean by this? Well, two things really. First, if a song is to be accepted, and it has lyrics, people must actually be able to understand just what the fuck is being said. Secondly, a high bit rate will definitely help your cruddy track get accepted. No one really cares for your 64kbps rips from internet radio.

Time to discuss the policy file. If your requested song truly sucks, supply an mp3 with your submission to have your track go immediately into Trial mode. Once that's been done, carefully read through the policy file. After doing so, start to look for loopholes to abuse. Abuse any that you do find and wait for great justice.

Much like a dreaded tornado going through a trailor park, or being struck by a hurricane, every now and then the musics player will have its own natural disaster: the shitpurge. The shitpurge is an event that comes only at certain times of the year, for the most part, but can still strike randomly. When it happens, a list of songs are deleted from the player that Craze deems to be of a lesser quality than the rest of the tracks. There's not really much you can do when a shitpurge happens except run for cover and watch crouched down from the window at the ongoing destruction.
